Urban Machina is the only sole distributor in Canada for Inokim electric scooters. They had us renovate their new showroom in a commercial place in the Strathcona neighborhood of Vancouver. Urban Machina wanted the new showroom to be a space where they could display their electric scooters in their window display, showcase many of their other products, make repairs to electric scooters, as well as have a space to meet with clients; all presented in a warm, classy atmosphere.
As you can see in the “before” photos, the space was an empty room. The floor needed to be redone, and the fluorescent lighting did not work for the feel that they were going for. Although the renovation was a fairly simple makeover, it is worth looking at the AFTER pictures.
New laminate wood flooring was put in with baseboards to replace the old flooring which looked too busy and detracted from the products on display. The wall with the plywood finish served as the ideal spot to showcase Urban Machina’s products. The wood was stained and custom shelving was put in to display their products. Halogen track lighting was installed to give the space that warm, classy showroom feel. Pony walls were set up to create designated spaces for the window displays. A fresh coat of paint was added to the walls.
In the end, Urban Machina’s new showroom had a space for every function they wanted, it looks fantastic and they were very pleased with the result. If you’re ever in the area and you’d like to take an electric scooter for a test ride, feel free to stop by the new showroom. Visit their website for details at https://urbanmachina.com/.
